I'm having kind of a speaker dilemma. I tend to ramble so I'll see if I can make this short, point form.
-picked up a whole Traynor package recently including the original YT-15 (2x15) with what I can only assume are the original Marsland speakers.
-A few months ago found a Traynor 1x15 cab with an unknown speaker, which promptly blew. Replaced it with a brand new Eminence 3015.
-now I have too much stuff and need to sell off some things before my house over flows.
My problems:
-One, I have someone interested in the 1x15 cab, though for guitar, so they're interested in a Marsland speaker not the 3015
-The YT-15 sounds great at practice but I think it could sound better - more low end, more projection
I really like how light the YT-15 is, and I would like to keep it as my main second cab.
I could swap the speakers - Marsland in the 1x15 and the 3015 in the 2x15. That leaves me with mismatched speakers in that cab which I know you do not like TB!
I could use the cash from selling the cab & speaker to get a second 3015 and have a dual 3015 sealed cab, BUT I'm worried that 1) not the right cab design/size for those speakers, and 2) not enough high end from the 3015 (only go to 4Khz, and I'd like a little more than that, maybe only 5 - 6 KHz at most)
So I could:
-keep the YT-15 as is
-Load the YT-15 with dual 3015s
-Load the YT-15 with mismatched old and new speakers
-Load the YT-15 with a 3015 and some other speaker
-sell the 3015 and load the cab with EV-15Ls or some other speaker
I don't have a lot of time (guy wants to come check out the small cab tonight) and I'm sorta lost

help TB?

That's the blown speaker, not 3015
