No More Fans

Are there any new amp heads that don't have a fan? It needs to make about 200 watts into 4 ohms and be under $750. I know there are some in the used market but I'd like new. What are my choices?. Did a search on "no fan" and of course that didn't work. Thanks.

Try searching: fans
Four letters, there was just a discussion on this.

Thanks, that worked. Looks like the Carvin BX250 and the Shuttle 3.0 are possibles.

I can tell you the fan on my GK MB200 has yet to ever run AT ALL, and I drove the thing to its limits at a few gigs.

If its quiet you are after, don't dismiss a head with a fan if it never really runs.

JB, I did a BX250 review some months ago, if you're willing to track it down. Nice little amp, lots of bells+whistles, and in terms of reliability it doesn't have the same "still in beta" feel that the BX500 still does to this day.
