I've finally found my perfect rig, and I can honestly say I have no gas for any other cabs or head for that matter. Basses are another monster though...
Who is with me?

Who is with me? | I have the best cabs on earth, and one of the finest basses ever made...I've got a great head that's worked perfectly for me in pretty much every way...
...but there are always a few bits and pieces I could use.
And by that I mean, I'd like a Demeter preamp to go with a Peavey IPR3K power amp.

| | | | I'm with ya.
Thing is, even after I knew I'd found the perfect set up for myself, I still bought some things .. which I ended up selling .. just confirming what I knew already.
I still find myself browsing the classifieds and CL, but I've stopped making music gear purchases. |

Its all just an illusion.

| | | | I think amps(maybe effects) have the least amount of GAS symptoms for me. I usually find something that works and am very happy for a long time...

| | Registered User | | | | | I just got a 1972 Traynor Custom special and along with my 800RB I don't look at amps any more either...I must have gone thru 20 or so in the last 4 years since I started..funny thing is..one of my first amps was a Custom special, I loved it, then stopped playing, and sold it. I spent 4 years and many amps trying to find the same sound. I just got one a couple of weeks ago and will NEVER sell it as they are getting rare.
As mentioned, basses are another story!

Peavey Millennium USA stopped the GAS, although if I ever have the budget to look at $1,500--$3,000 basses, I'm sure the GAS will resume.
Onstage pic of the Mil: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...ageID=15002368 Cabs: Tons of budget Peavey, Carvin, Sonic, etc., some ok, some terrible. fEarful 15" sub on the way (for my main, budget 15" for my drummer's monitor): Amps: Loud is never loud enough. I have a good, dual 700watter. But it's old and weighs a ton. Looking at some Crown stuff (used). FX/EQ: Listed in sig. Kinda gas-ing for that new MXR bass wah. (I have an germ-o.d.-modded Metal Zone to trade for one.)
