Noisy AG500 problem?

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anybody had a problem with lots of static noise or hissing on the AG500? if i turn my gain up half way then work the volume in i get a pretty noticeable hiss that sounds like a ground lift issue. i get it at home and last night on the gig it was pretty bad going thru the PA. even with the tweeter all the way down it is still there but not as bad. i ran direct last night and it was in the PA pretty bad. I’ve tried the ground lift button on the AG500 but it has no effect. Does this sound like a problem with the amp? i’ve only had it for a couple days. I also may have a problem with the pre/post eq not working correctly but im not sure yet on that. I think Pre works on the xlr but when i press in to use post i don’t get anything going out but i haven’t tested this enough.. The amp sounds amazing but i just need to get rid of that hiss. any suggestions? thanks
