Does anyone know any amps that sound like Fender amps that aren't Fender? I know, strange question.

IMO, that's not that strange of a question really, since ALOT of fender amps don't sound like a fender.

what particular fender amp are you referring to?

Sorry, let me rephrase. Are there any amps that copy the Fender tone that aren't made by Fender?

Music man - my RD 100 gives me what I like about the Showman circuit but... It's louder and cleaner. Great bass amp! Theough a kappalite 3015 in a medium sized box it has a killer Fender sound. ...and they can be had on CL for stupid cheap if you are patient.

The Fender Bassman/Tweed/Deluxe, you know, that Fender tone that's in all of their heads and combos. I was just wondering if there are any clones.

I use a SS Fender combo amp at practice. Any Peavey could get that tone. But I think you mean tube amps. Take any tube amp and kill the lows: instant Bassman

Quite a few amps use a Fender type tone stack, if that's what you mean. I know the Mesa D-180 does, and I think the Bass 400 and 400+ do as well.

Also the Orange AD200 uses a FMV tonestack.

+1 Some preamps like the Alembic F1-X and F2-B and even the Sadowsky onboard or outboard preamp use the classic Fender tonestack also.

a plush 1060 is a straight up dual showman clone but with two full channels. the only bitch about them is that you can only retube them with short bottle 6l6's because of the height of the cabinet, i found that ou the hard way. other than that they're the best deal in a 100watt "fender" going. the hippest thing they have going for them is that their transformers were designed by sidney smith of marantz fame, one of the early geniuses of high end audio. a they also made a guitar version with reverb and trem. a freshly tuned up 1060 is a Killer amp. plush later became earth, and the early earth amps are fender knockoffs as well

I'm generally looking for more wattage. Fender tone stack with a lot of power.

Then a used Mesa/Boogie 400+ should be on your list.

I read here that the Yamaha PB1 preamp sports a 'Fender tonestack,' and while I own a PB1, I cannot confirm nor deny that assertion as I do not possess that level of tech savvy and I am too lazy to acquire that level of tech savvy.

But if true, you could pair a PB1 with the monster poweramp of your choice.

Looking at this manual makes me think it does have a Fender tone stack.

It does have a Fender tone stack. However it is forgiven since it has a parametric EQ.
