Not to get too sentimental...

So lately I have been in one of my obsessive phases where I get online and check out all different gear, trying to figure out ways to upgrade, expand, etc. But at the end of it, I find myself realizing how much I really dig the rig I have, and how much it fills all the needs I have right now.

Don't get me wrong, I have gotten some great advice from everyone here on TB on how I can achieve more volume, etc. and I greatly appreciate it all, but at the end of all my research I'm sitting here remembering why i chose the gear I have in the first place. Looking at everyone's rigs on TB and seeing how they fit their needs is great, and also makes me realize that my rig is perfect for me.

The End.

that's the most pathetic thing i ever heard! don't you know that you have to buy everything and try it out for yourself onstage in order to make an informed decision?

seriously, you will be way happier for feeling like you do. and you'll have much more disposable income.

TB is a great place..but it has 1 edge (all the info you get) and one very sharp edge..the GAS.. it cuts trough your wallet like a P-bass into a Aguilar+PH610 trough a mix (or so i read )

haha trust me, I agree it's way more fun to buy new gear. I just know that if I were to sell off my head or cab as I was considering, I would greatly regret it.

You'll notice I didn't post this in the effect forum, because let's face it that is an incurable disease.

Sort of what's going on with me for the last 5 years or so. Trying out new cabs/heads, after playing through a pre/power rig into a JBL loaded 215 for 30 years. Many heads/cabs later, guess what? I'm having LDS build me a 215/tweeter cab loaded with JBL's. Sort of a poor man's Schroeder BMF 215, ( actually gonna use Jorg's tweeter ). It's the sound I grew up playing with and loving, and finally decided I would put up with the weight of a 215 again. I'm still searching for a lightweight head option though, and I'm thinking about the new Carvin heads. If not, I'll blow the dust off my old QSC/BBE rig, and come full circle. Hey, at least I tried !
