Since I've been playing out, I have only ever plugged into the P.A. that the lead singer/guitarist provides. It sounds fine I guess, but the $350 I invested in all new EMG pups and electronics is kinda lost through it IMO.
I have a Peavey Max 158 15w practice amp at home.
Well, I just had a practice over at our new drummer's house.
His buddy (another bass player) keeps his gear over there for practicing and such. I got permission to plug into this guy's Mesa Boogie Big Block 750 Amp driving a Mesa Boogie 4x10 Powerhouse Bass Cabinet.
Now I understand...

Oh boy... I have a while to go, but man, did I feel like a king for about an hour and a half
I will be spending more time in the 'Amps' section now, trying to make sense of all these new terms and numbers.

I've only owned the Big Block and Titan, the latter which I still use. But I've always wanted a Walkabout combo and extension cab. |
