I know the sounds I want are in there. I just didn't find too many of them last night. I really have to dial back the mids.

I know everyone is gaga over this new Aggie but on youtube and other audio files it sounds too thin for my tastes. I have DB680 Aggie pre that sounds awesome. It has 5 tubes I think. Clear yet phat.

Solid state amps may not be your thing. I know they are not for me. The only exception was a Trace gp7sm I had. It was phat sounding. |

Clear yet phat. | It's very different from the DB680, but I certainly wouldn't say it's thin. The TH is in the same tonal family as the DB750/751.
