Got a Yamaha BBT500H, BBT210, and RBX775 for a grand total of $400 off of craigslist today. So rad. The amp is a little noisy with high gain, but if you keep the gain down it's pretty negligible. Otherwise, it thumps. This might be my favorite cheaper 210 on the market. It's a 4 Ohm though. Will be a hard sell if I ever want to get rid of it. The bass is typical Yamaha quality but I'm not sure what the knobs and switches do at this point. Anyone know? Seems like vol, tone, pickup selector, active/passive. Anyway...

no idea what the knobs do but that's a slick little rig.

i bought one of the last brand yamaha BBT500H heads right when they were discontinued and were blowing them out NIB for $249 shipped. i still have it and actually love the way that it sounds. it's definitely capable of more different 'voices' than any amp i've ever owned, and IMO, all of them are useable. i take it as a backup head to my gigs and use it as a practice amp at home everyday with one of my a 2x10 cabs.

it has a really extensive feature set. digital modeling of 11 of amps/voices, adjustable frequencies for all of the tone controls (bass, low mid, mid, high mid, treble), plus a 3 band parametric, a compressor with adjustable threshold, ratio, attack, release, and makeup gain, an adjustable noise gate, input volume, a gain control, a master volume, an output level control and even a switchable speaker emulator, with the ability to store four of your favorite 'voices'. 250 watts @ 4 ohms and 500 watts @ 2 ohms. it's lightweight and never even gets hot when i use it cranked (and without a pesky fan).

The Yamaha head reminds me of the TC RH450
