Have any of you had any experiences with the Bugera BTX36000?
Something about this amp interests me. Maybe the 3800 watts of power that is complete headroom overkill. The $543.00 price tag worries me though. It cannot surely be well built for such a little cost. The built in crossover is a great idea, as is the use of multiple D.I. Curious if any of you have given this beast a shot. If so, how many cabs are you playing through/what are your cabs rated at? |

You cannot change the laws of physics - you simply CANNOT get that kind of wattage out of a standard 110v outlet.

There are 20A supply circuits and matching plugs in Kitchens here in Canada but I don't think any amp company has taken advantage of them as they are not widely spread in bars or stages. |

| | | | There will be a lot of negative comments from Behringer/Bugera haters. A few of them will have had a bad experience...but most have never owned any, so take that for what it's worth.
I personally own a Behringer powered speaker that has been very reliable, and I also know several other gigging musicians and churches that have used various Behringer equipment without any problems.
The quality varies...some of their stuff is a great value, some is not. I have not used the Bugera bass amp that you are interested in. I will say that they do tend to over rate their wattage. But that doesn't mean that the amp might not be decent, just don't expect the claimed wattage--it's likely not really there. |

On sale now for $599, made in the USA, and only weighs 10lbs compared to the +40lb Bugera Carvin.com :: BX1500

| | | | I don't believe the specs on this amp. The watts do not mention any standard rating like FTC or EIA, or EIAJ. You can't get 3800W of any standard rating out of a standard 15 Amp circuit.
This amplifier technology is old. It's big and it's heavy.
The big sellers these days are the micro amps. Micro amps are every bit equal in wattage and tone as any heavy amp. They are just a lot more convenient to carry. And to resell when the time comes.
