NYC Amp Rentals

Hey, bass players--my band is filming a video in Times Square on Tuesday and I need an amp for the performance shots. It's a prop so the only caveat is it has to look good. I'm looking for a vintage tube amp and a big speaker cabinet.

Anybody know a good place in the city (preferably in Manhattan) to rent a rig for a night? Alternatively--if any of you cats live in the area and would like to lend me something for the shoot, the band will compensate you for the rental, plus we'll buy you a drink and give you free stuff.

trust me, you're better off getting someone to lend you one, or even pay $50 for them to bring it out. renting an svt in nyc will cost you. but if you absolutely have to rent...

SIR is right there in Midtown. They have everything under the sun, but it'll cost ya.

Thanks! I called SIR first, actually--I've played in the studios on 25th St. but I've never used their rentals. They quoted me $500 deposit; $125 for the night.

SIR has everything and they're not too unreasonable...but you could always try posting something on craigslist to see who bites. however, i personally wouldn't rent out my SVT for less than $125...and they'll probably show up on time
