| | | | I read that. Good article. Interesting that they not only raised the prices like crazy, but have now literally halted production on most of the rare earth processing facilities.
I'm glad I have all the neo cabs I could ever need at this moment! |

Not that I'm saying that's not a good reason, however, it seems a tad convenient......
Wishing I snagged those neo's a year ago....

I love how the stock market is up 5 days in a row as the USA Fed prints money to loan to Europe, um HELLO WE ARE 15 TRILLION IN DEBT & LENDING TO THE ENTIRE CONTINENT OF EUROPE?
This is the new face of global currency wars... I PROMISE it will get much worse.

This is the new face of global currency wars... I PROMISE it will get much worse. | At the risk of getting BANNED AGAIN, it's difficult to respond to this topic without getting political BUT the USA is sitting on mines that produce NEO yet they are not being used, much like our own oil we aren't harvesting.
Add to that the Solyndra fiasco and the Finnish Automobile loan (another 500 million dollar deal negotiated by AL GORE) and basically the world makes no sense. |

Not my intention to fan the flames of controversy, just doing my part to keep the community informed of the forces outside music that impact us. Peace, y'all

As printed money globally is used to devalue their currency to improve their economies, Japan, Europe, USA, (Swiss even a GOOD economy has to print now)... China will hoard things of value (Gold) vs paper currency
No need to bring parties into this, both of those wont help. We are all held hostage to Federal Reserve banks globally that do what they want with our currency without any voter accountability.
We who cannot print will alas be left behind as governments hoard precious metals, oil & NEO as WAR with each other

We just have to figure out how to protect ourselves from hyperinflation. Which is why Germany is the ONLY country not on board with all this debt & printing, they are the only ones that have lived through it. We absolutely will. Buy more gear because a P bass will cost $3000 in a few years. Your grandparents would have laughed at that, but they also would have laughed at $4 gas when they were paying 10c & 400K houses when they bought them for 5 grand.
Wealth theft from the people is SO easy through slow inflation that ALL governments around the globe can't resist.

Interesting article, Remo. First I've read of ferric oxide as a neodymium substitute. |

Ferrous Oxide also will follow that trend. Nice to know there are alternatives though

World demand for neo is going to keep prices up, IMO. That is, unless China drops their prices in an effort to put the US mines out of business... again. |

We have to produce in order to keep the price down you cannot let one country dictate the terms here.
Sooner or later someone is going to get really ticked at China. Then you'll see The People's Liberation Army goose stepping in the streets of Beijing and the Chinese govt posturing/trying to intimidate other govts. Sad really sad!!!
