I almost bought a Duncan 4000 and 1-15 cab, even had it out of the shop to try on gigs but ended up getting an AMP 420 and an EAW 1-15 instead. Very nice sounding amp and as you noted rare as hen's teeth.

I had one of those except it was in a tall cabinet with 2 - 12" speakers, only one of which worked. I used it for a practice amp until it caught fire one day. After putting it out with my beer I just threw it away.

The first scratch/dent is always tough, but every one after that is added mojo.

wow, that Eminar is pretty interesting. Looks like maybe it shares a chassis with a guitar versionthat uses more preamp tubes?

It appears to be packing some serious iron...

Grabbing this head this week, well not this exact one but one just like it. Super excited to hear it! No good videos online showcasing the tone of this beast. Once I get it I plan to mic up the bag end 4x12, the Bag End 1x15 and slam the Ricky through 'er.

Used to sell Earth Amps back in the day. The tube models were very similar to the Plush tube amps which we also sold.

One thing I can tell you about them is Earth was notorious for real sloppy chassis wiring. Some I worked on were a real "rat's nest" inside. Quality of components used were good for the time period though. Definitely make sure you have it benched out by a good tech (a wise move for any used tube amp, especially an old one). It doesn't take too much to fry a 30+ year old tube amp. A couple of 30¢ resistors or a bad capacitor burning out could trash it. They were loud amps and most I checked easily put out more than the 100 watts they were rated for.

Before Earth folded they also made solid state heads that looked exactly like Peaveys. Sounded the same and the insides were like looking at a carbon copy of the 70's Peavey.

Yeah that's a lot of plywood there, boy! Makes me want to sit down just thinking about it. And I'm already sitting down...

Thanks, I am liking it very much ever since I've shimmed the neck and got the frets leveled, it works and sounds killer, didn't have to change anything else
