Odd tweeter issue with Bergantino HT-112

I just bought a used Bergie HT-112. I'm hearing nothing from the tweeter except hiss as I turn up the tweeter level control. No sound from my bass, string noise, etc. That's weird. I would expect if the tweeter was popped I would hear nothing, no bass OR hiss. I get 5.3 ohms across the tweeter voice coil when isolated from the rest of the crossover, so the voice coil is continuous.

Any ideas? Is there a fuse somewhere I'm not seeing...?

I've owned 2 of those cabs and I have never encountered this issue. Jim Bergantino is easy to contact and very helpful I have found. I wouldn't hesitate to contact him about it. Good luck!

Yea, simply google Bergantino and call Jim. He's the man

I have talked to Jim in the past re: a crossover issue on a 210 cab I had at the time. Very helpful indeed. I'll give him a shout.

If you're hearing hiss the tweeter works. I'd try another amp with it.

OK - Not crazy.

Upon further examination, there was a big inductor laying loose in the cabinet. It fell off the crossover. I'll give Jim a call.
