Yeah mines great. Just sits in its room quietly minding its own business till I go and play with it. Doesn't need feeding or cleaning up after, makes a great housemate!

Hahahaha.

It just asks for good gigs so you can crank it and put it to good use.

Congrats....... I've said that a million times. I love t current rig but my all time favorite rig that I owned about 4 years ago was a DB750 and 2 NV215's. That was the best rig I've ever owned and heard!

Played the first gig on my TH500 & DB112 last night. Totally blown away by the volume and thickness I managed to get out of one cab, and the sound guy loved the DI.

Did you send the signal pre or post eq? I've joined a new band recently so haven't gigged my Aggie rig yet (start next month), wondering what's best?

Try this...

MF: Great Deals Anytime for TB'ers

Not sure what he can do but from the responses in the thread, it certainly wouldn't hurt to see.

This may have already been discuss, but does the TH500 sound close to the DB750 series? I like the DB, but not the weight. Asking because I notice Aguilar advertise the TH500 as "the Aguilar sound." I didn't care for the AG series (black models).

the th500 sounds like a solid state version of the db series. the 750 sounds the most like atube amp. the 751 has 1 less tube than the 750 but more eq flexiblity. look up a tber by the name of pickebass he did a comparison of them. very good too.

And I'm hoping that the TH350 sounds close to the DB750 in solid state fashion as well!

I agree with that. The TH500 has a similar color to the DB750, but without the heft and huge headroom. I think it's a good compromise between tone and weight.

Being the tone elitest that I am, id normally be turned away from something once I heard its SS, but the TH has gotten such good reviews / feedback I decided to purchase one. IT COMES VIA THE BROWN TRUCK TODAY

Any of you guys recorded with the DI on the TH500? I have to do some recordings and REALLY want to keep the "drive" circuit in my recording. I have to send post-eq to do so. Mic'ing the cab is not an option, I have to go DI. I have a REDDI tube DI I can use, but if I do so; I loose the drive circuit. How good is the DI on the TH500? Is it "recording" level good? I called Aguilar, no worries with running the TH500 w/o a speaker load for a recording session. I thought about getting a TH pedal, but there is no control of the drive circuit on that pedal like there is on the amp. And if the pedal is pretty much the same in regards to DI quality, then I might as well use the the TH500. One thing I don't know about the pedal, is if it will "break up/drive" pre-eq? It's all about gain structure with that pedal. Additionally, if I did use the pedal and needed to crank the gain to get the right amount of drive; I don't want to send a super hot signal to the board. Maybe it would be the same way if I used the head too? I dunno know. Maybe I should use the TH500 to get my tone, line out to the REDDI for a buffer and stellar DI?? I don't know. HELP!!
