I don't disagree, the DB112 is 50lbs, hardly lightweight but oh the tone!

Hi everybody, while searching for a new amp a seemingly nice idea crossed my mind: what about combining a TH350 with a Tecamp M210? It would be a lighweight rig, powerful enough for my needs and more economic than two sl210 (even thought maybe not as good).
So, what do you think about it?
Thanks in advance!

Added a TH500 yesterday to the AG500 I bought last December!

The Aguilar padded carry bag arrived at my office today.

Yes! Very nice!

I've found out that a good sound is not just an amp. I've never put another amp on my DB112 cabs before, but now I have.

And crikey, did that sound good.

Can you explain in detail the difference in the sound between theses two amps when the settings are the same. Thanks

I've tested the AG500SC (so the single channel version of the AG500) with the TH500. It's very hard to describe the sound difference in small detail, but I'll try. The TH is rawer than the AG. It tends to sound more like the DB750 than the AG does. It has that little bit more low mids and edge. I like both amps equally, by the way.

Cool, I love the DB751 so my TH500 gets closer to that sound at a much lighter weight and price

Aguilar club

Just got a pair of tweed DB 112s on Amazon and I love 'em. Sound great with my Lil MarkII. Best part was the price - $408 a piece, then when I hit buy there was another 15% off (and free 2-day shipping)! I went back on 10 mins later to see if the offer was still available, so I could post a heads-up here and it had gone- strange as there were 6 available when I bought mine

Works great for my smaller gigs. Will soon be adding another DB112 for slightly larger venues...

I have 2 DB12's. I have covers for them but one of them while in the truck with drums cut some of the outside layer on the bottom of the cab. How do you guys fix this?

I have a DB750 question: I have my DB running into two GS112's at 4ohms 750 watts. I'm guessing I can hook up two more GS112's for a total output of 900 watts into 2ohms. Would I be correct in that assumption?

This is indeed correct. Gary Willis is often using a DB750 with 3 x GS112's. so, you can feel safe trying this out.

If anyone is interested in the DB 112 in Classic Black (8 Ohm), Amazon currently has them priced at $539 with free shipping. I've seen them priced lower at times, but this is still a pretty good price.

Any NAMM rumors yet? I saw they're coming out with soapbar pickups, but that's not super exciting.

That's kinda exciting for me, 'cause I can use some new pickups for one bass of mine

BTW: do you guys maybe know if there are plans at Aguilar to release an early 50's style P-Bass pickup?

No plans for early an 50's style right now; but we are planning on making sure we have lots of different types and sizes. It's going to be a big show for us, all the amps, cabs, pedals plus a big rack of instruments filled with Aguilar pickups and preamps! All to play and check out.
