I'm doing this of sheer interest in how many of those are out there and actively used.
(Plus I took those two eerie photos last night, which have to go somewhere. )

Mine died at about 5-6 weeks old as described in the thread below. Ampeg CS was great to deal with, but they won't have any in stock to ship me a new for for a couple more weeks. I've gone back to my old lower end tube pre and direct to the mixer for now. I really miss the Micro VR. Ampeg Micro-VR R.I.P. |

The stack is actualy pretty sturdy, as Jimmy said. The other day I had a gig with a boarded floor stage. It wavered a bit and it wasn't even also.
Still the stack wasn't easily pushed out of balance.
And it fitting behind an open door is another quality that comes in very handy on the smaller stages I play.
It always fits and due to the vertical stack I'm able to hear myself very well. No matter how close I'm standing to it.
That's how cool it is!

It realy ads much more depth, punch and power.
If you do: Don't buy it at Thomann. At least not for the Thomann price which is €345. I negotiated the cabs for €275 at Rockpalace: Ampeg Micro VR Stack

I've been using it this way for a few months now. And uptill now it hasn't had any isues.
