In fact, despite the difference in status and price tag, I like both equally!

Thanks | Apparently the 'regular' EVO3 RC version has the Chrome faceplate and is built in PR of China.
Mine has the blue front, usually found on the non-RC models. It says something like 'built in the United Kingdom' on the back.

These sound very loud for their rating and you can squeeze almost any tone out of them. One of my bands recently recorded and I am happy to say I got to use it on all the tracks. The engineer loved it!

| | | | Just upgraded from a GK 210 combo amp to an Ashdown 410 with the ABM 900 head. Plays like a dream! Sorry I don't why it's only uploading as a rotated picture! :/ |

the touring 330 was simply an underpowered unit. advertised as a 330 watt amp it simply wasnt loud enough for even a jam session against a 75 watt line 6.
got in touch with Ashdown and it was confirmed it was between 180 and 220 watts. it needs another cab out to achieve 330 watts. it weighed 75 pounds alone, there was no way I wanted to add another cab to it.
Ashdown would not take it back based on the mis advertised watt rating and some problems with the tubes rattling in not 1 but 3 different units.
at a 400 dollar loss to myself I traded it for a GK MB112-II
I am not unhappy with this deal, actually I am thrilled. the GK blows away the touring
oh well..live and learn. I did like the sound but I needed more power |

The Touring 330 is a full 307 watts RMS delivered into 4 ohms into it's internal 8 ohm speaker(s), it will
produce about 200 watts RMS, then when an extension 8 ohm cab is attached it will provide its full output.
Exactly as most of Ashdown combos. |

Exactly as most of Ashdown combos. | I know that now but where does it state that here in plain English? http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/det...tion=dt&ID=251
my thing is, I wanted a 300 watt amp. this is what I thought I was buying.
I spent 800 bucks on an amp that says its 300 watts no where does it state that I needed a line out and spend another 400 bucks to get he full wattage.
I thought I had a pretty good case for a refund. if they had seen it my way, I would have gladly bought a MiBass and a cab with the refund.
instead they lost a customer.
I dont think I am being un-reasonable. |

I think they should be a little more clear on their product description.
I was looking for a 300 watt unit.
I loved the sound but the unit weighed nearly 75 pounds and is pretty big. the need to add an additional cab to get the other 100 watts is BS in my opinion.
I ended up trading off the Ashdown for a GK MB 212-II
200 watts and it is twice as loud as the touring. it only weighs 30 pounds and is 20X20. I can add a MBP-II cab to this amp and get 400 watts and it will be about the size of the touring and still weigh less. |

I am SOOOOO excited for the Neo stuff! Exactly what they need to do to stay competitive IMO.
First thing I will be looking for is reviews of this stuff. http://ashdownmusic.com/products/1/B...on/13/ABM-NEO/
After that I'll be looking at this "little" guy. http://ashdownmusic.com/products/1/B.../43/MiBass-20/

Mine's the rack mount, so I haven't spent enough time with the standard to know this; maybe the faceplate is the same, and the standard is mounted inside the enclosure from the inside via the rack tabs? |

Picking up a 2x12 cabinet this week. I was able to try it out through a Markbase 2x10 and 1x15 cabinet and really liked the tone. Pulled the chassis and cleaned everything. Don't gig much anymore, but this will do small venues and if something big comes up, line out to the board and it's all good. |
