I'll use it at home 99% of the time. Once in a while with a drummer.

Thanks for your comments!
IMO there more directed for guitar players, that's just from what I've heard. But they do get that old school tone, just don't have a lot of volume, but considering you'll be using it at home you should be good. That a pretty good price too!

So I've got a question... I took my bassman 100 to band practice for the first time today, and I don't quite think I'm getting enough clean headroom as I should be getting. I just got it back from getting new caps on Monday and just a basic tune up, as well as a new set of matches JJs tubes. I was told that since the tubes were matching, I probably wouldn't need to get it biased. But seeing as though I'm getting a Lemmy like tone with both channel volumes at about 6, I think I do need them biased. I've been told that was a bassman 100, I should have tons of loud clean tone... What do you guys think?

An old Bassman 100 should just about keep up with a moderately loud drummer IF you have an efficient cab and want a bit o' tube grind - what are you using? Clean headroom? Only if you have a real quiet drummer and 15 watt guitar amps.

This is what I'm using, just a standard 610hlf, I also run it through the bassman 215 I posted a pic of earlier.Click image for larger version

The 610HLF is not a very effiient cabinet. It needs a lot of juice to really open up. Try it on top of a few different cabs. Bag End and Genz Benz are some of my favorites with tube amps.

Has anyone here played gigs with the Bassman Ten? And if so, was it loud enough, how much clean headroom? I'm really interested In one of these so I don't always have to lug around my 215 and head... Thanks!

ID:	315541 1972 Bassman 100 and Ampeg 810. This makes for a killer rig and I've owned nearly everything. Bass is a mij fender precision.

I run my 300 Pro thru my matching fender 410pro and (for the moment) 115pro. I`d really like to get a 2nd 410 pro cab to replace the 115. Ideally,I`d like to have my bassman 300 running thru matching 410pro cabs. I think that would make a killer stack.
The only problem is that the 410pro is discontinued. Anybody know where I can snag a used one?

I have a bassman TEN the thing is glorious. I replaced the already replaced speakers (by the original owner...disintegrated surrounds) that was in it when I got it. I got a matching pair of barely used G.E. 6L6s and a few RCA preamp 7025s and a few Mullard's (12ax7s a few different brands) in this thing just for swapping...(yummy)
But my major upgrade was the speakers. I put 4 eminence delta 10a's in it (super efficient .... 300 bucks) and the amp is plenty for a live gig I've played a few outdoor gigs with it too and the other musicians and sound guys love it. Beautiful and tight and clear. Near maxing the amp it gives great growl and grit. I leave the input vol and master around 6-7 usually and it is a beautiful sound I also use the studio channel 90% of the time. If you can get one grab it quick. I haven't tried it yet but I bet it would make the 2x15 sound good too. As with a lot of the bassman amps it has its main speaker out jack and an external jack too.

Thanks for the info! I was actually thinking about splitting my signal with an AB box and running into my bassman 100 with the 215 and the bassman ten for larger outdoor shows. If you get the time do you think you cold take a picture of the amp next to a bass just for reference? It would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I have 70's Bassman 100 amp with matching 2x15" cab. I was wondering if there is a better cabinet for the amp? Has anyone tried the amp with barefaced cabs for instance?
