A new addition to my rig! (the 410XL. I also have a Mesa 4X10 that lives in the van of another band I play with)

I'll be cranking it up this Saturday at the Saint in Asbury Park, NJ with Nikolitsa and the Comrades.

I'm already a member, but I added another (used) HX410 this week (the nicer one).

At home, I'm running the 1x12s (8 ohm mode) on one side of the power amp and the 4x10s on the other. When playing out, I'll bridge the LH1000 and "just" use the 4x10s.

How does your XL410 sound with your LH500? Can you describe the tone you get? I have the same head, and see a lot of those cabs for sale used...

The Hartke 4X10 sounds great! I had been using the LH-500 with a Mesa 4x10, which sounds very nice. But I needed a second cab for another band I play in, since the Mesa lives in the band's van, and it's too heavy to lug up to the 3rd floor where I live.

The XL has a brighter crunchier tone, and still has a huge low end. And it's loud. The Mesa is smoother/darker and more vintage sounding. The new band is a grunge band, so I wanted a grindier tone, and the XL can do that well. But it's very versatile.

I have played the XLs in the past with a GK-800RB and always liked them.

I bought the the 4x8 as a backup for smaller gigs. I haven't used them together yet just because I can't find my other speaker cable! The 4x8 is a nice sounding cab, but it's kind of inefficient. I'm probably going to sell it to fund some guitar gear I just bought.
