Maybe you need a "BMC" pedal?

I was trying to stay under 40 lbs., but oh well. They sound great. Why do folks not like Markbass cabs so much? I hear that a lot.
I use a MB Standard 410 HF and I love it.

That's good, pal. Glad to hear love for Markbass cabs. My dual 151Ps sounded great this weekend.

Anybody try the Big Bang yet? I gotta think its tone is identical to what I am used to with the LM Tube (minus the tube, which is not much).

My LMII now goes into protect mode when running at 4 ohms. Tried all of he tricks in running to the 1/4inch instead of the speakon. cleaned heatsink, cleaned the fx loop connections, no clipping, no silly eq settings, checked impedance of cabs and continuity of speaker lead. All good but the amp still shuts down within the first couple of tracks, switch off then back on and it stays on for rest of gig. It's been a great amp and well looked after (about 5 years, 300 odd gigs not a mark on it!) but I'm now looking for a replacement.

Is the 4 ohm cab different from what you've used in the past with it?

If you still want a different amp, try the Tonehammer 500. I like both the LMKII/III and the TH500.

I have had a similar issue with my LM II when I run it with 2 8ohm NY604 cabs and push the gain past noon. It powers off but comes back on after cooling and power cycle. Have you contacted customer support? Or you can pm Peter Murray here - He is our resident MB rep.

I ran the amp with 2 ashdown abm's (4ohm total) cabs on a few occasions with no problems. Been running with a GB Neox 212T for about a year with no issues but the cutout is a recent development. It only seems to occur when the master volume is past half way.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Tone Hammer, I've looked at them with interest in the past, but not felt the need for a different amp for some time as I've been more than happy with the LMII. I'll check them out.

That's great info, I'll give him a try, many thanks. Did you get a fix for yours? Sounds like we have the same issue.

I've never gotten to play it at more than 10 o'clock with a 102hr and 104hr. Even when I was in a punk band...that was usually enough to keep up with a Marshall 1/2 stack. My current band plays classic rock, and each of the 2 guitarists plays a 50 watt solid state 212 combo.

I haven't gotten around to addressing it. My F500 is my main gigging amp and the LMII is my backup for now. Oddly enough I never had a problem with the LM running my 4 ohm Schroeder 1215L.

What is your gain setting when you turn the master past noon? I never turn my master that high. My gain is at about 2:00 because that's where it works best, according to Markbass' routine for setting it. Then, my master ends up around 10:00-11:00 most times. I also find that it doesn't get much louder past noon on the master. Perhaps, with your setting, there is too much of something going through the system.
