That is one kick ass little combo! You want to really be amazed? Get the matching NY 121 1x12 extension cab and play the stack. Wow! Really impressive!

add me in?
My little mark II is sitting on top of the red cab.
Pretty funny that there were four bands playing that night -- Two all Markbass rigs, mine a LMII with custom cab, and one phil jones briefcase.

The newest addition to the stack. Very nice, and very deep voiced. Wow... I love that NY 804.

Peter Murray and Markbass

Hey Markbass friends!

Since I get a lot of PMs on here on Markbass-related matters, I just wanted to give you all a heads up that my position with the company is ending today, after almost 8 years.

It's been a great gig, and I've appreciated all the contact I've had with so many good people on here.

Of course anyone here is always welcome to PM me here, but obviously I will no longer be acting as a Markbass employee.
If you need help from the company, the main contacts are:
For US service matters of any kind (in or out of warranty): markbass@vstservice.com.
Anything else: info@markbass.it (or fill in the email form at http://www.markbass.it/support.php).
Please don't write me on service matters, artist relations matters, or anything that I won't be in a position to help on.

By the way, I'm still in love with Markbass products and will be staying on as an endorser!

Cheers everyone,
Peter

My best to you, Peter. Thanks for the help you gave me about the weight issue of the Traveler 151P cab (weighs 45.75 lbs. instead of the published 37.3 lbs.) about a year or so ago. That probably helped many potential customers, as well, make a decision.

And Merry Christmas to you and yours!

No new gig yet, but I'm sure there will be one soon.
In the meantime, lots of music!

Thanks!

Thanks Peter, all the best.

On another matter. Every once in a while the fan on my CMD 121P will "flutter" or make a bit of noise. So I unplugged the amp took a look with a flash light to see if there was any dust buildup causing the fan to become unbalanced. There wasn't much, just a thin coating so I used some canned air and blew the dust out. Sound was still there after plugging the amp back in, so I just left it be until the next time I used it. The next time I turned it on, no flutter. Nothing for the next few times and then it happened again. It happens intermittently, but is loud enough to be heard when playing with the volume set to 4. I'm thinking it might be bad bearings. Anyone else ever have this problem and how does one go about getting a replacement fan when it's out of warranty?

So I called GC and they told me to contact Markbass and VST. Never ending circle of no help, hence why I'm asking here.

The sad part is that Peter was probably the only one that actually responded to customers. This will not be good for Markbass is they continue with that kind of customer service.

Sad indeed. I may just end up pulling it apart and checking the part number on the fan to see if I can find a replacement that will work, probably cheaper and easier in the long run.
