Official Mesa/Boogie 400,400+ Club

I looked around on TB and found other "Mesa" clubs but none specifically for owners and players of the legendary 400 and 400+ amps.

Post the pic of yours and join the group that plays the "leviathan" of all bass amps. Below is mine and as the OP I will take #1.

Caca De Kick - #2

Arlekiin as with any of these clubs it preferable that a pic of your rig be posted before a number is assigned. Thanks

Sigh...I have owned 3 400+ and eventually sold them off die to weight issues....I'm a bit older and more discriminating about my tone and now miss them all dearly....

Sold my 400, 400+, and Strategy 400 years ago when I realized 400 just wasn't my number. Come to think of it, sold my Peavey Classic 400 around the same time....

180, now, that's a number I can groove on. I won't tell my poor old amp about this thread, he's had a rough week.

Let me in.
I am 100% Boogie 400+ fan.
Was trying to use 12au7 in preamp but ended with 12ax7 growl sound made by Tung Sols.
That rocks.

Here's my 400+.......

I tried a 400+ in the early '90's and loved the tone. For many years after I tried different gear to keep weight down or give me more power (which I thought I needed) and all I did was waste time. I bought the 400+ and Powerhouse 1200 a few years ago and it's the first time I have been completely content with my tone.
