I am building a full range bass cab. I bought the 4 drivers recommended in the design, all at 8 ohms. I know to make the cabinet 8 ohms, and this will be fine once I build another cab, but I really need it to be 4 ohms for my amp for now.

Without buying all new drivers, is there any way to make this a 4 ohm cabinet? Just going by my limited knowledge it is not possible. But that is why I am asking you guys.

Yes, you can get a hugely heavy and expensive transformer to do so. Glockenklang sells them, for one.

Unless your amp is a tube amp with only a 4 and 2 ohm tap, you do not NEED the cab to be 4 ohms. If your amp is not a tube amp, the difference between an 8 or 4 ohm cab will be negligable.
