OK to spray paint speakers?

Will spray painting speakers (except for the cone) effect the sound quality or even worse ruin them?

So what you're saying is that you want to paint metal bracket that holds the speakers?

If so, then I would think it should be ok.

I've painted speakers with a light coat of black when they are beyond cleaning, didn't affect anything as far as sound goes, but they looked new afterwards
