Is it OK to use my Terror Bass without a cab?

Sign in to disble this ad
I haven't done this yet, but I'd like to use my new Orange Terror Bass for recording. Would it be OK to run only the DI out into my interface and not hook it up to a cab, or do I need to have a load on the amp to avoid doing damage? Just want to make sure before I do something stupid. :-p Thanks!

It has a solid state power section, so it should be fine.

I've used it without problems, but what do you want to use it for? Record with the DI? I've been trying to but can't get rid of the 'deep fryer' noise...

Orange will tell you not to power the head up with out a load on it.
