Question Old B100 Yamaha Head ??

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Yamaha Head B100 and on the back it says 1 or 2 speakers 4-8 ohms, 1 and 2 speakers 8-16 ohms. I am running it into a 15" Peavey cabinet that says 4 ohms. Can I run a 4x12 cabinet from it as well or should I get a higher watt amp

The one I had was a 4Ω minimum so you can't run any lower than your 4Ω cabinet. It is only 100W so you'd do better with a more powerful amp.

I used to have one of those. Loudest 100 watts I ever heard. It should crank pretty well with the 2x15 @4 ohms. I would not go under 4 ohms, have you tried the 4x12 cab without the 2x15? Are you looking for more volume or a different tone? A good 4x12 would move more air than the 2x15 .

Thank you:
I would like more volume and have a 1x15 and a 4x10 .
The yamaha B100 head cranks out the volume to my 1x15 peavey but I just want more without blowing it up.
