I thought it would be fun to shoot a video of a classic combination: GK800RB into a pair of Bag End S15-D's. Nothing high dollar, nothing exotic, but it sounds good - great for punchy, grindy rock tones anyway. The rig is pretty compact and portable, even by today's standards, and is capable of some solid output levels. I find that GK and BE have very complimentary voicings (my 2001RB sounded killer through these cabs as well), and everything is rock solid from a build/reliability perspective. I imagine this rig would shine with boomy stages/rooms, and cut very well in the mix. Maybe someday I will start gigging again...
Anyone else ever play this rig back in the good old days? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnJhth-h2eI |

I can't wait to put it all together. It's my modular answer to my Genz Benz 610.
Video processing... I was excited to see what you're pulling from it. |

Tones are limited by my abilities, not the other way around but I find that I get similar tones out of all my gear, with subtle differences that each piece imparts. Basically, I have a lot of different means to the same end. Certain rigs have a unique synergy though, and I think this is one of them! |

I sound pretty similar no matter what I play though. I enjoy that.
Was that P-J running both pickups together? Sounds a lot like the P-J I was running through my 1001 + 410 a minute ago except without a reverse P like mine. Your D & G sound more Stingray-like than J-like where my E & A do to my ears.
Oh yeah, I like the tone, particularly the E & A string's depth. Sounds a bit like a tone I'd shoot for or use so I appreciate it a little more.

How's Columbus? I was born there, but never lived there. My family owns Oakland Nursery. |

SO stinking clear & smooth, no matter where you were. Up close it wasn't super loud, but far off it was still very full. A personal dream rig for me.

I think many, many thousands of gig hours have been put in with a 400, 700, or 800RB and a pair of S15 cabs. |
