| Yes. Even if they aren't Black Widows. A Peavy 2X15 cab was my main cab 20 years ago, and only when that band broke up and I played with bands that went through the board instead of my amp & cab carrying the house did I sell it. Go price gutted cabs or new raw cabs without drivers, and they'll cost you that much or more. If you're concerned about tone, if it doesn't have any soundproofing in it, just get some thin fiberglass insulation and a staple gun and staple a couple of pieces to the back inside of the cab. If you blow the drivers, you can reload at your choice and keep on rockin'. |
