Older Peavey 2x15 @ pawn shop

Yesterday I saw what looked like an older Peavey 2x15 cabinet in a local pawn shop I frequent. It had wheels on the back and a metal bar on the back for pulling it around. I've poked around online trying to find one that looks exactly like it but I can't find it. On the back it had a turn knob looking thing, not sure what that was for.

They only wanted like 150 bucks for it... Is this a steal?

Thanks,
BRUMSHINE

Yes. Even if they aren't Black Widows. A Peavy 2X15 cab was my main cab 20 years ago, and only when that band broke up and I played with bands that went through the board instead of my amp & cab carrying the house did I sell it. Go price gutted cabs or new raw cabs without drivers, and they'll cost you that much or more. If you're concerned about tone, if it doesn't have any soundproofing in it, just get some thin fiberglass insulation and a staple gun and staple a couple of pieces to the back inside of the cab. If you blow the drivers, you can reload at your choice and keep on rockin'.

It might be a sub for P.A. There should be a tag or label on the back with a model and serial number to help with identification.

Was there a tweeter in it?
