Older SLM? Crate BE-215 Cab

Sign in to disble this ad
After having done a search and found next to nothing, I'm turning to you folks for information on this Crate. I know nothing about them other than the name.

It's a BE-215 cab rated @ 4 ohms and 160 watts The claim is that it was made when Ampeg had them or made them. It does look different than any Crate cabs that I've seen. Appears to be have split top and bottom sections with a section in the middle that has no grill cloth. Any information and experience would be appreciated. Year(s) of manufacture, brand speakers etc. etc. would be helpful too. THANKS ( Could be my Christmas present???)

First made somewhere between 1991 and 1995, according to model-serial number-date list. That would be when SLM had both Crate and Ampeg.

I probably have info on it somewhere, but have not bothered to dig out much Crate info

Thanks Jerrold. If you can't dig up the info, could you link me to some of it? I appreciate it.

My Be-215 says its 400 watts and 4 ohms. It doesn't have a grill cloth, but it has a metal cover. Its got four ports on the back and two imputs for daisy chaining.
