The One That Nearly Got Away

So I got my Mesa Big Block 750 back today. I say mine because I bought this amp 3 years ago, and twice it almost got away from me in trades for other amps etc. The first time I traded it, it went to a local music store but 10 months later, it was still there and I picked it up again. Roll forward another 9 months and I did another trade for it, and just a few months on again the guy I traded it to put it up for sale on a local advert site and I was gutted as I saw several offers of trades etc go in for it but thankfully he didn't go for any of them. So I got it back today when I traded my Ampeg SVT 4 Pro for it. Out of any other amp I've owned the BB750 just seems to have that special connection with me and I've always yearned for it whenever I did trade it which makes me wonder why I even traded it away in the first place! I've thankfully finally learned my lesson and this amp is with me for life now, I just love it so much! Plugging it in at band practise tonight and hearing it in the mix was just absolute bliss!

Anyone else have any similar stories?

i used to have a girlfriend and we split up and she banged a lot of guys, then we got back together for a little while. this is kind of the same thing.

hardly! this was right around the time people were first hearing about aids on a wide scale, and i saw an ad that said, "when you have sex with someone, you're having sex with everyone they ever had sex with, too." so getting back together quickly lost its charm.

Don't be so sure of that. I saw some stuff during a forensic pathology run in med school that'd curl your power dome. Glove up before you take the top off is all I'll say...
