Online Ashdown Purchase?

Sign in to disble this ad
Online i have found one of the old Ashdown ABM 4x10 combo's.

Guess what it's only £549.00 ($795)

However, it is an ex demo product. What do you think?

It's off a trusted website which i have bought off before, I just feel this is too good of an oppotunity to miss out on. I don't have a lot of money atm but I actually don't care.

Ive been looking for an upgrade and was gonna get the MAG 4x10 with MAG 300 head.

Please is it worth taking the risk and buying it even though it might be absolutely crappy with blown speakers etc. I wish i could try it!

It can be tricky buying on-line. I would get them to clarify the conditions of the sale. How long before you have to send it back? Do you pay shipping on returns . Buying new is one thing but with demeo's and B-stock you need to be careful. I returned an Ampeg head where nothing was wrong (loud fan)(B stock) , it worked but...I just wasn't keeping it. I had to pay the shipping which was ok by me ( total cost was over $2000) and the shipping was $ 150.....So, good luck......

This?

Owned it and gigged it for two years. Stick with the MAG seperates. That ABM 410 combo is a very shallow 410 cab and has no real low end, in addition to Ashdown's speakers which don't go very loud before farting out.

I paid $800 for mine and ditched it for $400 when I got the chance to get rid of it.

Ok so what do you suggest a different cab then? Maybe not ashdown (even though i love the tone from them)
