Opinion needed! New rig idea.

So finding a 4ohm 2x12 neo cab at around 500-550€ is becoming actually imposible so ive come across this idea:

-TC Electronic classic 450.
-Used Aguilar GS112 that i might get for 350€.
-New Ibanez promethean 110 wich would be like 285€ new.

Yep its more expensive than my original idea, but im able to get a 4ohm rig thats also modular enough to allow me go lightweight if needed and powerful, yet still light if i need to unleash the full 450W of the TC by using both cabs.

Any input, im really looking foward at this rig.

Two far different cabs might not agree. Pair of GS112 should sort you. Why the need for 4 ohm though?

Wattage does not equal volume, speakers do. 2 of the same cab equals more than the sum of it's parts. All truth. Personally, I'd stick with finding a good 4 ohm 2x12, the Genz benz Uber 212 is a real monster. Or, 2x 112- 2x 210, etc. Mixing can work, but matching always works.

Money is the key, if i were swimming on a pool of money i wouldnt mind getting a 900+€ cab, but that i cant afford.

So the whole goal here is money or weight?

If it's money, I have 4 ohm GS212 I'm thinking of selling, and I assure you it wouldn't be 500 euros...

Small rig.

Well,

I´m using a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with an Aguilar GS112.

Easy to bring with you, loud and fat. It is OK for my needs.

I intended to buy a Genz-Benz NEO 2 x 12" , but I have no space for it.

Both.

Making it go all over the athlantic is not what id call cost effective... then there are the customs wich have become very anal since the crisis.

IMHO two 8-ohm cabs are a great option. Gives you the flexibility of just using one when all that power is not needed. Playing a small venue just take one cab, practice just one cab, got someplace to really unleash take both cabs. I bought a 210 cab with plans on adding another 210 later to get the full value out of my amp later and like it much better than a 410. Plus this way buy the one you want and you can save up a little to get a matching pair later.

Dont get stuck on the brand of the 112s. Just get two of the EXACT same brand as long as they are decent quality such as

bergantino
epifani
aggie
bagend
etc etc

Two of the exact same 112 will give you maximum results. Perhaps scan the "International" section of the TB classifieds.
