opinions: Aguilar 112's/Epifani UL 112's/Mesa Scout 112's

Hi,

I'd like some opinons on which cabs to choose to mate with my Mesa M6 Carbine. Aguilar GS112's/Epifani UL 112's/Mesa Scout 112's? Bang for the buck? Looking for old school sound. Price, weight, sound, shipping - all are considerations. I'd love to stay with Mesa, but they are scarce and pricey.

I'd recommend the GS112 for any type of sound, in almost any application (obviously wouldn't be suitable for a large gig without support). It's got a sweet tone that's kind of Ampeg-ish but with much better clarity across the spectrum, if that makes sense to you. The volume it can put out is pretty impressive as well. It may have a slight dip in the mids compared to the others listed but nothing that wouldn't be able to be EQ'ed out if you liked that flat sound, and I've never had a problem with cutting through the mix.

Disclaimer: I've got one for sale (my 4th GS112 and 9th Aguilar cab) but my review would be the same regardless.

I A/B'd the Epifani and Aquilar

I found the Epifani had a much more even tone and better low B at low to loud volumes. But I may be in the minority because Aquilar has a good rep on here
