Opinions on Fender Bassman 250/210

Hey y'all,

So, I have an opportunity to buy a used Fender Bassman 250/210 off of one of my fraternity brothers, and I was wondering what the general consensus was about these amps. I've had a chance to play through it several times, and overall I love the sound. I can dial in pretty much any tone I'm looking for between it and my Schecter. The Eminence drivers really pack a wallop, and they handle drop tunings pretty well, which I like.

The only cons I've really found with it so far are the weight and that I wouldn't be able to get it home in the summer time (I'd have to leave it out here at school). Plus, I've not really been able to find any jam buddies or band prospects here, so it's probably way more amp than I realistically need at the moment...

With all that said, he said he was looking to get somewhere between $300-400 for it. Does this sound like a good price for the amp? It's in incredible shape and doesn't appear to be damaged at all.

I had a 250/210 and wish I still had it. I like the sound of the amp and seems to have plenty of power for 250 watts. If it's in good shape I'd pay $300-$400 for one. I'm looking for one now. Just my opinion.

I have one that I am selling. Not because there is anything wrong with it, I just recently bought an Ampeg V-4B head so I don't need it anymore. This amp has been very good to me, it doesn't seem that heavy to me and is somewhat small enough to pack in a car. Go for it. Or buy his and leave it at school and buy mine and take it home.
