Opinions on MarkBass SD800 750 watt?

I think im going to order The MarkBass SD800 solid-state. I’ve played the LMlll and liked the sound but need more power. I also played the LM Tube 800 which i didn’t care for thought it was too muddy sounding. I have a friend who has the sd600 and loves it. i also like the fact that it has a Mid Low and Mid HI parametric. Any thoughts?

I owned an LMII for quite awhile. I briefly owned both the SD800 and LMT800. Both were very nice but I slightly preferred the LMT800 as it sounded closer to the LMII to me. The SD800 sounded more hi-fi, nice but not as much my thing.

thanks i played thru a LMlll and liked it. i hope the SD 800 has a similar tone, i didn’t like the tube 800 as it was a little too muddy for my taste.

I love my LMT800. If you want warm (muddy) turn up the tube. You want attack, dial in solid state. One thing about these, the controls are very, very sensitive!
