opinions needed on which amp to buy

Ive been looking for a new amp for a while. and ever since i joined the band im in ive been needing one, i dont want to be having my bass going direct out any more...

i had my eye on two different amps. both 350 watts 2x10 with a 1 inch tweeter.

the first is a fender rumble:

the second is a hartke hydrive:
Hartke HyDrive 5210C Bass Guitar Combo Amplifier at AmericanMusical.com

i was leaning more towards the hartke which has a 500 watt head in it because i could put another cab under it, and you cant do that with the fender.
basically with the hartke if you put a speaker under it it will send 250 watts to the top and bottom.

i know i will probably still have to direct out for some shows, (we play small to medium gigs) but i mostly need this amp for practice.

Before you set yourself down the combo route, think about weight. You will be lifting those things. They do have casters but casters are of litle help when you have to carry it up to the fourth floor. A head+cab combination will also be easier to upgrade in the future.

In this pricerange I would recomend buying used, you get more for your money. I have played an older Fender Rumble, had a nice modern tone.

The Rumble's pretty decent but out of those two I'd get the Hydrive.
