Orange AD200 Line Out Question

Sign in to disble this ad
Could I run a 1/4 patch cable out of my AD200's Slave Out/Line Out into a whirlwind imp 2 di to the front of the house? I have a gig coming up where I would like some FOH reinforcement. Has anyone else tried anything similar?

I read on the Orange forum about someone doing this successfully with their AD200. Probably the "safest" way is to use a DI box before the amp or a Radial DI between amp and speaker. I was contemplating using your approach with my AD200 myself, as in the online manual put up by dustblow he says that this works successfully - it is a dry signal too.

Orange really should add a DI to them.

When I had mine I did it quite a bit and it always worked great. You don't really get the power amp grind out of it but it sounded good.
