Orange or Ampeg? for Traditional metal

Hey everyone need some of your advice.
I been playing out of an Orange AD 200 for a few years now and has always sounded great. It was for music like You me at six, Bayside, Coheed and Cambria.
Now i play for a heavier more traditional metal band
Very similar to Accept, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Maiden
Not as much treble as Steve harris. What effects or pedals should
I Check out to make this thing a monster.

My drummer thinks i should get an Ampeg svt 2 pro. I think both amps are killer but hate to get rid of my orange amp

I have a sans amp and mxr compressor and a fender jazz with emgs
What are your thoughts

E!

I don't see a mention of a cabinet for the orange here? that in its self is probably the most important tone and volume consideration here.
Distortion pedals are all about personal taste, I tend toward the old original Ibanez TS808 tube screamer but then I don't want to add that much distortion to a pushed tube amp and I like the mid forward tone it gives.
More radical would be the yellow boss bass overdrive pedal.
You should be able to get some good drive out of your sans amp though.
Which model is it?.

If I were choosing which one to buy, personally I'd go Ampeg, as I feel the EQ section is a bit more useful. However, the AD 200 would be fine, too.
