Orange into Ashdown

Hi,

I have an Ashdown Superfly which I play through a pair of HH 15s.

I am struggling to get the sound I want as there are so many different options so I thought I might just set the EQ flat and then use my Orange Pix 50 run thru it to get the tone. I am thinking that this might be possible using the line out facility. What do you think? Am I mad and asking for problems or is this do-able?

Yep, should work fine. You should also try your Orange line-out plugged into your Ashdown Effects return jack. This would bypass your Ashdown preamp section and just be using its poweramp section. Try each way and see what sounds best to you.

Thanks, I will give that a go. I was hoping that would work as a power amp. I have the orange as a practice amp as I was sick of lugging my full rig around all the time when I didn't need to.
