Are any of you playing the cab with the port either up or on floor (horizontally) instead of the way it's designed (sideways).
I know it's probably a no-brainer, as in... of course it sounds the same, but I just want to check.... so... does it sounds the same if the port is on the floor?
Also, are the logos screwed onto the grille or glued?
Finally, is the hight exactly 20"?
Thanks!

Yes, you can play it with the port any which way. Theoretically, having the port on the floor aids in floor coupling and increases perceived bass frequencies. But, I fully admit I'm clueless as the the science of it all. |

The logo is glued on, I think (never tried to remove it).
20" sounds about right. |

Seems as if they are both peak 400W, 8 Ohms, no horn. The ampeg as about half the price, but that orange cab just looks delicious
tombowlus' review (thanks by the way, I've read that thing a million time and have it pretty much memorized... lol) unfortunately does not include the SVT-15E, and I can't seem to find a direct A/B anywhere.
Anyone here?

It says only 200W power handling on there. Is that correct?!
If it is, its a no brainer. Id have the Orange over it anyway but thats just me.

| | | | Aren't these just the ElectroVoice TL606 design. (3.2 cubic feet internal volume, if I remember correctly)?
If so, you could build one pretty easily and pretty cheap, as many others have done before. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
