Hi,
Wanted to get some feedback on the Orange Terror Bass (500 Watts)
I have an Ampeg SVT 8X10" and I am curious to know if anyone has used this combination before...

Thanks

im sure it would be fine. being a tube head, it will be loud enough being underpowering the 8x10. a Terror Bass 1000 would be even better

I have an older SVT, are most 8X10"s 4ohms?

It is a hybrid head. It just has a tube preamp. Big difference.

This post hints at loads of misinformation and internet myth.

+1 I would expect this combo to work pretty well.

Sounds awesome with a good cab in my opinion. I'd prefer Orange over Ampeg at this point because of the dark low mids and the compression you get from running the preamp at the point of saturation.
