Orange Terror Bass or SVT 3 pro?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everyone-

I'm currently trying to decide on a head to get. I run my bass through a two band compressor, which splits my signal into lows and highs. The frequency splits around 100-120 hz, with the high end running into an orange tiny terror combo. I love the grit that that amp gives my high end, but I need a head/cab combo to handle the sub lows (my swr 2x10 can't handle what I'm putting it through).

I have the opportunity to buy either an orange terror bass head or an SVT 3 for around the same amount of money, and run one of those into a 1x15 cab. I really like the sound of both heads, but haven't had the chance to try them with my exact setup. Which one would put out a more powerful low end/ match my requirements? Any suggestions?

Thanks very much

Dave
