Orange Terror/Portaflex combo vibration

I am running an Orange Terror Bass head into a couple of the new Ampeg Portaflex cabinets. The top of the cabinets, being flip tops, vibrate when I play. I have a couple concerns, one is harmonic vibration with the tubes in the head. Am I worrying about something needlessly?

The other thing is that the amp moves so I have some bubble wrap beneath it for the moment, I am looking for a more permanent solution. Maybe some sticky-backed foam glued to the top of the cabinet so the amp stays put and gives some relief from the vibration.

The other thing I could do is move the head off of the cabinets, but that is not super practical since the head is so small. Just sitting on the stage seems goofy plus it would be hard to adjust.

I wouldn't worry about vibrating the tubes. No different than any other tube head sitting on any other cabinet really. If you are hearing a buzzing come from the lid of your PF cabs however, check to make sure all of your latches are anchored solidly, and use a screw driver to tighten/or check all screws holding in the clasps and the strikes. If you still hear a buzing, it could be from the gasket not having a tight enough seal, but with these being relatively new - I wouldn't think that would be a problem. If it is, I use 3/8th weather stripping on my B15 cabs and it works like a charm.

If the head moves, try those rubber kitchen cabinet mats. No glueing required.

Thanks guys, both good suggestions. The head does walk all around the top of the 2x10 cabinet!

Fender used some feet cups on their Rock Pro 4x12 guitar cabs that just screwed on, and didn't require routing to sit recessed in the plywood. I can't find a part # for them, but something like that would be an option as well.
