Hello, has anyone had any experiences with OSP racks? I was looking at them and they look like a decent, inexpensive rack but then I looked through the forum and saw that some people had problems with them. Thanks guys. |

| | | | Wow what a set up. I hear some of the smaller unit ones have the handles on the lids and they've dropped thir stuff because the lid gives way.How are they on tour? Have you been out with them alot. |

Have you been out with them alot. | i can't imagine the lids coming loose since the latches are so robust, and i think they're only 1/4" ply (mayber they're 3/8"). i got them because they're fairly lightweight but still have the large round corners so they rest on them when setting them down like a briefcase.
i've used them for the last 8 months without any issues, so IMO, they're great, especialy for the $. |

I loved that thing but when I had it loaded it was well over 150 pounds so I had to get rid of it for my back's sake.
I would definitely buy from them again and recommend them.

| | | | Can the hardware handle all of the weight, I'm 18 and still quite spry so I'm not concerned about the weight as long as the handles and plywood don't fail, I think I'd be fine. I'll def concider getting smaller, more managable cases in the future, I forgot about weight until after I ordered it. |

I'm the same age as you and that doesn't mean a whole lot. I'm not small, but there is having ability, and there is being stupid. Doing a lift like that by yourself leans on the plain stupid side, IMO. Especially with something as awkward and cumbersome as one of those rack cases.

My only complaint is that the latches don't latch onto themselves where there is no with to prevent rattling (few do nowadays though) nor are they flush or butter flt out.
But these seem good units overall. |

| | | | eBay returns Thanks for all of the help, don't worry I won't try to lift it by myself, wealways double up. I orderedthe case and I got the package and opened it up...it's the molded case...I guess that's what I get for buying from eBay. So I guess I have to Return that, anyone have experience with that? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
