Other newbie amp question...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, please excuse the other newbie amp question, but this is a quick one: so, when using a head with a speaker cabinet, it's true that the only thing that needs power (like from an outlet) it the head correct? The cabinet does not need it's own power supply, right? or does it? thanks. but so that would mean, at a gig where a band is using three amp heads, each running to cabinets, they only need to plug in the three heads, correct?

thanks!

Be careful, please !!! Make sure to connect the cab correctly to the head. Never turn on the head without the cab connected. Go to the old threads at this forum and learn about amps and cabs, it will save you money, time and from getting hurt.....

The speaker cab gets its power from the amp, through a proper SPEAKER cable. Accept no substitutes.

don't forget (or learn how) to to stay above or at your minimum ohm rating- put simply, more speakers=lower ohms!
