A real PA works wonders. Otherwise I bring my Genz Benz Uber stack.

SVT CL and 2 8x10's along with a JDI or JD48 sending signal to the FOH. It works very well.

PA most of the time. All I bring is a DI and my bass.

I use a Thunderfunk 420 and a pair of Epifani NYC-112 cabinets outdoors when I need a rig. That's for an acoustic rock outfit that doesn't play very loud. Outdoors takes big stuff.

I've had good luck with a Schroeder 410L powered by an Alembic F1-X/QSC PLX 3102, with or without PA support.

I use a Carvin BX500 with BRX10.4 and BRX10.2 neo cabs - sounds great outdoors.

My REDDI is key normally, but the rig depends on the size of the stage more than indoor/outdoor. Big stages get at least a 410 + 115, or two 410s with either 225 tube watts (Reeves Custom 225), or 900 SS watts (Mesa M9). The smallest I do normally is a solo 115. Works out great! I wish my guitarist would get a bigger rig oddly enough...

For me now, big stages (indoors or outdoors) get my "Epifani 610 cab," Epifani UL1 410 4 ohm + Epifani UL1 210 8 ohm cabs driven by a Crest CA6 or Mesa M9. I always bring a Countryman type 85 DI and ~40 ft. of mic cable. You'd be surprised how often I end up using both because the FOH crew is running short. Go figure.

i've used everything from a b-15 to an svt/810. makes no difference to me. however, if there is no pa, i lean towards bringing the svt.
