Hey!, I'm new to the bass world, can anyone tell of a good sounding practice bass amp for home practice? Thanks |

You can buy them brand new for less than $500, used for around $300, have outputs for headphones and DI, in input for an iPod, a few built-in effects and a rather impressive tuner. It fits in the back seat of a Cavalier with ease, doesn't weigh a ton to lug around.

I plan to play along with mainly MP3 files and maybe a CD player input.

There are many sub-100 solutions to play with headphones or just plug the bass straight into any amp/home stereo. Use the money instead to purchase a good gigging rig when you are ready. |

I got mine for around 200 on ebay, but YMMV. It's got some limitations as far as how deep it sounds, but still sounds pretty good for it's size. It will hold up with a band as long as the guitarist and others don't have their amps set too high.
Right now we've repurposed it for use as a vocal/keyboard amp, which sounds equally good for those applications.

It tilts back, sounds great and has a wonderful XLR Direct Out that I use to feed the church pa when needed. Loud enough on its own to keep up with a under control small band by it's self and tilting back I use it as a monitor when feeding the house.

| | | | The Fender Bronco is really a fun little amp. Check out the videos online. It does some pretty cool stuff. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
