Painted Grill Cloth / Grill Designs?

Sign in to disble this ad
hi guys!
My friend just posted this picture of a band he saw recently.

http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._5230309_n.jpg

Which got me thinking, do any TBers have their grill cloth painted, or anything on their grill? I have eden cabinets, which doesn't have a cloth, but I'd love to put SOMETHING on there! I'd love to see examples of anything used to customize your cabs!

That's not my cup o' tea, kind of like stickers on guitars. But hey, different strokes...

X8

Edit: I do wipe on some Armor-All type tire shine goop on my grill cloth of my 215 cab when I spruce up my cab.

I got one that I both replaced the cloth in the grill and painted in around '91-'93, and I still love to show it off.

Painted with Testors Emerald Metal Flake

The grill cloth was replaced with a large scarf from the womens dept. of K-Mart

And underneath I mixed green glitter and glue and applied with a brush and placed glow-in-the-dark Star Trek stickers

Yes she is. I didn't even notice until after I had posted this pic in another thread. She just loves to "help" every time I start taking pictures of my gear.

Don't feel bad...I've seen this pic in a few different threads recently and didn't notice her either until knucklehead asked.

^Beyond awesome: I got a good laugh (in the Janky-thread) at the Spock & Kirk, then the '60s "hip" emerald--but now the cat, that's priceless!

ever notice potheads can't just smoke, they have to put it on their clothes and on their cabs too... not that there's anything wrong with that.

Yes this is true I don't smoke the pot but it's not much different to me than beer drinkers wearing Budweiser shirts or hats. Although I have never seen a band with beer logos on their amps but then they usually sponsor stuff and are plastered everywhere else.

there used to be this band from florida called stranger whose guitarist had budweiser logos on the back of all his guitars. never cared for them myself but a lot of people around florida and georgia liked them. they kind of ran their course in the 90's and broke up, and 3 weeks later this guitarist shot himself.
