Pairing an amp with cabs

I'll make this short, I run a shuttlemax 12.2,
600w per side @ 4 ohms
375w per side @8 ohms

I want to use a two cab setup for bigger venues but be able to still have a full range sound with one cab for the smaller places.

Was looking to run a fearFUL 15/6/1 with a 12/6/1cube, these cabs are 8ohms, will my 375w be enough to push these or am I wasting my time?

Having a very hard time finding 2 compatible 4ohms cabs that can handle 600w a piece without getting a 4x10 which is what i was trying to get away from...

How about a pair of 2x12s?? You could easily get something to handle that kind of power, and on top of that, you'd know that whether you're using 2 cabs or 1 you're going to get a very similar sound out of your rig.

I'm not sure that those mismatched fearfuls are going to work the way you want them to. I would imagine that they are designed to work singly.

From what i've read/been told, the fearfuls are all designed/voiced to be similiar and not have phasing issues but i get what you are saying. I kind of liked the idea of having seperate drivers for the mids (the 6") and the woofer for pure bassy goodness.

My concern with 2x12 is lacking the low bottom. I've been using an AMpeg 4x10HLF for the past ten years so i'm pretty out of the loop on all this stuff

Running two 8 ohm cabs gives you a 4 ohm load, so each fEarful would be getting 300 watts.

You cannot run two 4 ohm cabs together.

You would be amazed at how loud you can get with that amount of power and a fEARful. Sure these cabs can handle more, but they sound wonderful (and loud) as long as you have more than ~100w or so.

I push my 12/6 with a PF-500 and it would shock you with how loud it gets.

Are you looking to build your own cabs, or have one of the AB's do some work with you? The fEARless cabs are also worth looking into, and they get just as loud. I really dug the F112 I spent time with, and it got very loud with my PF-500.

He has the 12.2... he can run two 4 Ohm loads.

However, it should be noted the difference between an 8 ohm cab and the the same exact cab at 4 ohms is almost undetectable.

I toyed with the idea of building my own but due to time constraints, i think i would probably go with an AB. I don't know if i want to do the 15/6/1's or 12/6/1's...i just kind of feel dirty leaving 225w per channel on the table by using 8ohm cabs
